You can choose your family

Writer: Christina Christina

Someone recently told me that I couldn't choose my family. I realized at that moment that they didn't know what it was like to be raised by a family of Karmic's. Parents do not hurt their children, family do not take from another. Family is supposed to be the support system you are born into so that you can have a solid foundation. So that you can grow to be the best version of you and live your best life.

What if your family is not so supportive, or they give the kind of support that always comes with a price you cant or do not want to pay? What if your only treated the way you deserve when you have something they want or stand to benefit from? What if that family takes from you, pretends to help you but every time you get good they do or say something that sets you back further than you were.

More often than not a client is torn up about their family dynamic. The toxicity that they feel drowned in can be overwhelming for them. Listening and feeling as they explain the hardships and the stories of manipulation and deceit. Watching them leave like a weight has been lifted off of them and seeing that renewed feeling in their eyes with a sense of confidence.

The hardest part about choosing your family as you would your friends is the inner conflict. You are torn up because inside you know how to love and be supportive and the last thing you want to do is be looked at for abandoning your family. The inner dialog starts with the " am I doing the right thing" and usually ends with " I am going to give them another chance". How many chances do you give someone to keep hurting you, to keep pushing you down so they can rise?

You do not have to move away to get away. You can look them in their faces and hold them accountable for their actions and in most cases a lack of action. The same as you would a friend or distant relative, you can for the ones you hold close to your heart. You can love someone so much but also love yourself enough to walk away from what is causing you pain on any level. It takes time, self love, self growth, and understanding to get where you need to be in order to take that first step.

You can choose your family, you can start by acknowledging that you love yourself too much too live in conflict or chaos. You continue by accepting people for who they are and understanding they will never be the person you need them to be, not until its too late and you can only see them as a friend of the past. Sometimes letting go and walking away is what they need in order to seek change and find that inner love they lack in that is required to be a better person towards you and those they hurt.

They will come back and they will fool you several times before you have enough. They will tell you everything you want to hear and behave how you had always wished they would. Until one day they slip and show a side they just cant hide. They will apologize and claim how Rome wasn't built in a day. They will plead for another chance or remind you of your flaws and how they tolerate what the dislike about you. Its up to you to remember that family is supposed to be the most loving relationships you will ever have. Remember that family is supposed to build you up not tear you down and cause you to be conflicted inside.

Personal Readings are not just focused on what can come and how you can get there. Some sessions are completely focused on self love and healing from traumas of all kinds. Sometimes clients need to vent and actually hear what needs to be said. Sometimes what clients have going on they cant explain to their close friends due to fear of judgement or future betrayal. Sessions allow for that open and honest flow of communication and sometimes hearing what you need to hear so that you can find that forgiveness and self love.

Personal Readings are available by video chat, phone call, instant messenger, or in office. Click here to schedule a 15 minute session for $22.00 or click here to schedule an hour session for $50.00.
